The William H. "Bill" Butler Jr. Foundation (or Deputy Bill Butler Foundation) was established in memory of Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Deputy William "Bill" Butler Jr., who was killed in the line of duty on June 27, 2024, during a traffic stop in Michigan.

The foundation's core mission and activities include: Support for First Responders: Providing direct assistance to the families of fallen or injured first responders. Recruitment and Education: Offering scholarships to new recruits entering law enforcement or first responder fields. Mental Health Advocacy: Promoting mental healthcare for first responders to address the trauma associated with their service. Youth Outreach: Assisting juvenile offenders with the goal of effecting positive life changes and reducing recidivism.
